Exploring beaches
With Europes most beautiful beaches, the Algarve is THE place to drive around and explore stunning hidden and secluded beaches. From sea caves, natural bridges, white sandy coves and turquoise waters to gigantic dramatic cliffs, it's all to be found here in the Algarve. So hop in your car and go see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Coasteering
The best adventure ever! It's a mixture of climbing, swimming, hiking and cliff jumping along the Algarve coast. Swimming trough caves in the beautiful ocean in combination with climbing and jumping just makes this the ultimate activity to do in the Algarve.

Surfing
From beginner to advanced and everything in between, the Algarve is the perfect place to go surfing. You'll find many surf schools along the Algarve coast where you can book a lesson or just rent a board. The south (western) coast can be amazing for surfing as the swell can wrap all around the point of Sagres and create slightly smaller waves that are more fun for learning or when the swell on the west coast get's too big. Road tripping
The Algarve is great for driving. Roads are wide and generally pretty empty trough beautiful landscapes. Perfect for a road trip and exploring beaches and beautiful nature.

Hiking
Absolutely one of my favorite things to do in the Algarve is to go on a cliff hike. There are some beautiful trails taking you along the enormous dramatic cliffs and the clear blue Atlantic with stunning and unique views! Check out my favorite cliff hikes!
Supping
The Algarve is absolutely perfect for supping as there is so much to explore. Natural bridges, sea caves and clear turquoise water make this the ideal good weather activity. Just google any surf/sup school around you and they can take you on an amazing trip!
Cave and dolphin tours
Very touristy but for a good reason, it's fun! A great thing to do in the Algarve is to go on a cave or dolphin tour. There are many companies on the south coast that take you on their boat on the Atlantic and explore the beautiful coastline. You can also book a dolphin tour to head out and search for dolphins but I've personally seen them many times at any boating experience or whilst just hiking along the cliffs.
Visiting potteries
Who doesn't love them? The typical traditional tiles called azulejos and the beautiful handmade colorful ceramics. They're not just to be found in Porto and Lissabon but also in the Algarve. Where to find them? Check it out here.
This is just a selection of my favorite things to do in the Algarve but there are so many other great things to do like visiting one of the many large shopping malls, wandering around beautiful old towns like Silves or Tavira, visit Portuguese markets or one of many great fish restaurants.
