Which countries can travel to Portugal?
All EU residents and and Schengen related countries can enter Portugal for non-essential travel.
The following countries can enter Portugal for non-essential travel: USA, UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Chile, Colombia, Jordan, South Korea, UAE, Uruguay, Kuwait, Namibia, Taiwan, New Zealand, Peru, Qatar, Rwanda, Singapore, Ukraine and Hong Kong.
What do you need to enter Portugal?
Everybody entering Portugal must either have proof of vaccination, or a negative PCR test (less than 72 hours old), or a Corona recovery certificate, or a negative antigen test (less than 72 hours old).
You also need to complete a passenger locator card before entering Portugal.

1. Are restaurants, bars and cafe's in the Algarve open?
Good news, they are!
2. Until what time are restaurants open?
Kitchens in the Algarve are open until 22:00.
3. What are the restrictions for entering restaurants?
An EU Covid Digital Certificate, or complete vaccination certificate, or negative RT-PCR test (valid for 72h) or Rapid negative antigen test (valid for 24h) is mandatory when accessing restaurants, and also cafe's, bars, gyms and theaters.
* You don't need any of the above on outside open terraces.
4. Do I need to show proof of vaccination in bars and restaurants?
Yes, you need an EU Covid Digital Certificate, or complete vaccination certificate, or negative RT-PCR test (valid for 72h) or Rapid negative antigen test (valid for 24h).
5. Do I need to wear a face mask?
Right now face masks are mandatory in public transport and all enclosed spaces.
