One of my favorite beach towns, Burgau! I love this place. Its steep cobbled streets, blossoming bougainvillea, blue sandy cove and slow paced living. It's also the place where I live in the Algarve. This beautiful tiny fishing village with so much to offer.

This place just has it all. An amazing view of the ocean, chilled vibes, good food and great service. You have to love it. I love their smoothies and dinner menu. Especially the ameijoas (clams). There are also enough choices for vegetarians (which can be hard in Portugal 😉). One of the best restaurants in Burgau!

In my opinion Ancora serves the best food in Burgau. Their risotto (veggie) is without a doubt the best one I've ever had in my life, you have to try it! Besides their incredible food, you can also enjoy an amazing ocean view high level of service. Overall, one of my fave restaurants in Burgau to eat. I can only recommend.

The location of this chilled little cafe is amazing, tucked away in the steep cobbled streets of Burgau. I love sitting here and watching people wandering by on their way to the beach. The perfect cafe to unwind after a big beach day! My fave time to visit is around 18:00 for a cocktail and some bites and enjoy the great vibe of this cafe and the slow paced living of this town. Tip: have a pizza here, they're the best off the Algarve!

One of the best places in town when it comes to Pizza! It's cozy, the service is great and the pizza is amazing. What else do you want after a big day of surf? Make sure to check this place out when your in Burgau. You won't be disappointed.

My favorite breakfast in town! See the cinnamon buns in the picture? 👇 You need to try these! Don't worry, they also have plenty more healthy options but the freshly baked pastries and bread is what I love most here. The cafe is located in the same building as the little local supermarket, Mais Perto. You can enjoy your meal outside in front of the supermarket (doesn't sound great, but is actually lovely). Prices are very fair. Meals range between €4 - €7,50.
